The current version on Android won't let me work. Everytime I press the screen it says oops try again and the ball doesn't move.

This is truly an amazing game! The story stays faithful to the original work while being imaginative—it’s so much fun! The only downside is that the game seems unfinished. After progressing to the small storyline where I have a meal with Megumin, the main quests stopped appearing
So does this mean those of us that paid for this won't be getting latest updates anymore only public?

You can not become an adventurer in v1.7. It's only available in v2.1, you'd have to wait until that version is released for public. If you want it instantly, you need to check out the paid version here on itch, or on my patreon.

the first few minutes of this game are fucking comical (in a good way. they made me laugh)
as you can see, I enjoyed the "I'm hungry" route. (I despise the "OOH LAA LAA" with a PASSION I don't know why but it fills me with immense rage.)

Hey! I was wondering since there's 2 versions and one of them is paid, if the paid one is the only one thats going to be update? And if it is do you have any plans of doing a free release of the true game? (I dont really like paying for a games, and instead pay for there patron/ fan box if the game is good)
Helloo! Well yeah, what you guessed is correct, the paid one will get updated to v2.1 on itch on 14th December. Then, when I release the next version of the game, the v2.1 will become free. So it's like the public versions will be one version behind the paid versions. You can also check out my patreon for cheat codes and walkthrough :D

It requires file access to store the saves in your device. This is not the only game, but every game running on Ren'py Engine requires file access to save your progress in the game :)

Don't bother with Patreon unless you plan to spend at least $5 monthly... there is a $2 tier, however all it really gives you is access to the Discord, and you will still be fully two updates behind on the version of the game.
Essentially, this means that if this game takes a year or more to develop, you won't get any real benefits from the patreon unless you spend $60 for that year (assuming the project actually finishes within that time frame, which does not seem to be the norm, and does not track with the schedule so far) and only if the game finishes within that year (this equates to AAA game title cost). Recommend sticking out the free version, for obvious reasons, taking into consideration both the time between updates, and the size of the current product. I can't recommend any dev that only appreciates their higher paying supporters, and not ALL of their supporters.
What you're saying is correct. My patreon is only for generous people who want to support me through the development phase. If you just want to buy the game, you're happily allowed to buy the game for the latest version or even play the free version. :D

The APK one? Some Xiaomi or similar phones tend to throw out this random error, but honestly, no need to stress about it. The file has been thoroughly checked multiple times and is totally virus-free. Feel free to take a look at the results or even upload the file yourself to double-check for any pesky viruses.
